NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression 2024 Census Letter
NHSBN are launching the 6th annual collection of workforce data from NHS Talking Therapies services (formerly IAPT) across England. The census will once again collect data from across NHS and NHS commissioned services in the voluntary, community, social enterprise and independent sectors, and local authority service provider organisations.
To reduce data burden, the NHSE commissioned workforce census of Psychological Professions excludes NHS Talking Therapies staff and therefore workforce data from the NHS Talking Therapies project will be integrated into this census.
Therefore, as requested in 2023, we ask that you record staff in their primary qualification and within their modality to allow this integration of the data. Reporting for NHS Talking therapies will use the subtotals of the roles by modality.
It will provide details of the size of the workforce by role as well as profiling its diversity in terms age, gender, disability and ethnicity.
Participants will receive a bespoke report outlining key messages and metrics, which compare local data against nationally reported positions.
